The firm
Capsticks Solicitors LLP is a full service commercial law firm and the leading provider of legal services to the healthcare sector. We have over 120 fee earners acting for over 150 healthcare clients, including NHS Trusts and Health Authorities, the NHSLA, regulatory bodies, charities and independent healthcare providers. Our main office is in London and in 2008 we opened an office in Birmingham.

Who should apply?
We are committed to recruiting the best people to maintain our market leading position and the firm encourages all prospective trainee solicitors to participate in our vacation scheme as this is our primary means for selecting future trainee solicitors. We recruit 5 trainee solicitors each year and welcome applications from candidates who are either on course for or have achieved at least a 2.i (or equivalent) in their undergraduate degree. We also expects candidates to be able to demonstrate they are committed to a career in healthcare law, as well as being highly driven, but well rounded, team players, with good problem solving and communication skills.

We are committed to providing equal opportunities and encouraging diversity in employment. All job applicants will receive equal treatment regardless of sex, marital status, race, colour, nationality or national or ethnic origins, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief.

The training programme
Our broad range of practice areas and healthcare clients enables us to provide our trainees with an opportunity to experience a wide variety of legal work. Our training contract is designed to give trainees maximum exposure to the work of the firm and trainees undertake seats in all of the firm's practice areas, which include Clinical Law, Corporate/ Commercial, Dispute Resolution, Employment and Property. Trainees are therefore able to acquire an in-depth knowledge of both the law and the healthcare industry, in addition to developing the skills that any good lawyer needs.
