Name: Rebecca Biggin
Full-time LPC Leeds, 2007/08
Trainee, Walker Morris

"Before I began the LPC I was apprehensive about the prospect of becoming a trainee. Although I enjoyed my law degree I did not feel like it had prepared me for life in practice. I could explain complex academic ideas but how would I interact with clients in the real world?

After starting the LPC at BPP my confidence soon began to grow. Every aspect of studying at BPP is geared to prepare you for life in practice. The LPC challenges you to develop the skills that are crucial for a solicitor, the ability to understand the commercial environment in which the law operates and advise clients in a practical manner.

As the tutors at BPP have all been in practice they can draw upon their experiences as well as their expertise to make the transition from academic study to practical application as easy as possible. The tutors are professional yet approachable and supportive at all times; they encourage you to ask those questions that may seem obvious as it's better to make a mistake in the classroom then in front of a client."
