Trainee Profile
If you want to experience high profile media issues in a forward thinking environment then contact Wiggin. They're looking for you if you can demonstrate a passion for media and the law, strong academic ability and a commitment to success. One word of warning though, their seats are not for the faint hearted! They need trainees that relish hard work and a challenge. They'll be at the law fairs so come and see what they are all about.
Training Environment
Training is split into four seats and these will be allocated from company / commercial, commercial media (2 seats), media litigation, employment, film and property. Although based at the Cheltenham office, you will be meeting clients in London and could end up on a six month secondment there with the British Phonographic Industry (the record industries trade association).
They don't want you to do the photocopying. Their trainees are encouraged to take an active role in transactions, assume responsibility, and deal directly with clients. In house seminars are held regularly and training reviews are held every three months. You will get an experience just like your friends in the City but within the exciting and niche area of media law and within a firm small enough to recognise the importance of a personal approach.
