Start your career with PA Consulting Group.

We are an independent, employee-owned, global firm, operating from offices across the world. We look to hire exceptional people and provide them with opportunities that they will not find elsewhere. We offer a career in consulting, a stake in our firm; and an environment where individuals and ideas matter.

Delivering a visible difference
We have won numerous awards for delivering complex and highly innovative assignments, run one of the most successful venture programmes in our industry, have technology development capability that few firms can match, deep expertise across key industries and government, and a unique breadth of skills from strategy to IT to HR to applied technology.

We have no audit arm nor exclusive alliances. This independence means the advice we give to clients, and the work we deliver, are based only on what is best for our clients' business.

PA's list of independent accolades provides evidence of our determination to deliver value to clients. In the ten years that PA has entered the Management Consultancies Association (MCA) Best Management Practice Awards we have received an unprecedented 26% of all the top awards. No other consulting firm in the UK comes even close to matching this record.

The role
Your role as an Analyst will vary depending on which business area you work in. However, in all areas you will work with major companies and senior managers, gain an indepth understanding of all kinds of industries, grow your technical knowledge and work alongside bright and stimulating people. You will be expected to use your interpersonal skills to develop client relationships and establish your own networks - this is a clientfacing role.

Our requirements
An excellent academic record is essential, as is the ability to work co-operatively with others and present yourself and your ideas effectively and persuasively. You will also need a high degree of drive and tenacity in order to achieve your goals. Ambition and business acumen are vital.

We recognise that diversity is strength and that the differences between people add value to our organisation. PA is committed to equality and diversity and positively welcomes applications from suitably qualified candidates from all backgrounds, regardless of sex, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, religion or age.

Graduate training programme
In your first three weeks with PA, you will attend an intensive residential training programme. The programme focuses on developing your business, consulting and interpersonal skills.

Skill development
PA will provide you with ongoing training and development throughout your career. As a new graduate analyst, much of your learning will take place 'out in the field', working with clients under the supervision of more experienced consultants. Our information centre will provide you with a wide variety of books and multimedia training materials so that you can learn at your own pace and you will also benefit from a variety of practicespecific training courses, run by consultants at all levels of the firm. Finally, you will receive ongoing feedback and support from your line manager and mentor, who are responsible for helping you with your career and skill development.

Career development
PA is a true meritocracy, with career progression and development depending entirely upon your performance. If you demonstrate strong technical ability, combined with key interpersonal skills such as leadership and business development skills, there are no obstacles to progress to senior management.
