Maxxium UK is one of the country's most
dynamic and innovative spirits companies.
Based in Stirling, we employ 230 people
across the UK
We're a joint venture between two of the most
highly regarded names in the spirits business
- Beam Global Spirits & Wine Inc and The
Edrington Group. We handle the sales,
marketing and distribution of their portfolios
of prestigious and iconic spirit brands
including The Famous Grouse, Scotland's
favourite whisky; Courvoisier, the UK's bestselling
cognac range; Sourz, a leading non
cream liquor in the UK; The Macallan and
Laphroaig Single malt scotch whiskies and
Stolichnaya vodka.
We are one of the top three UK spirits
distributors with annual volume sales of over
3.5 million cases.
At the heart of our business is our passion
for building brands. This is an unswerving
commitment, delivered with dynamism,
respect and enthusiasm running through all
levels of the organisation.
These brands don't build themselves, however,
and the secret of our success is employing the
best. We're largely a sales and marketing
business and our team of 28 marketing
professionals makes us one Scotland's largest
marketing employers. We also have one of
the largest sales forces in the industry; ranging
from entry level sales all the way through
to senior management. Maxxium provides
opportunities for graduates in all disciplines.
We pride ourselves on our vibrant culture and
aim to recruit and develop people within a
one-team environment. Our business is driven
by creativity and enthusiasm, stimulating and
rewarding ownership and entrepreneurship.
We invest heavily in research to determine
exactly what engages consumers and how
this impacts on growth across the on-trade
(bars and clubs) and off-trade channels
(supermarkets and off-licences). Our
customer and consumer insight teams spot
trends before they emerge, ensuring our
marketing and sales teams deliver the best
possible service to customers. This culture of
proximity to our customers and consumers,
which we call “feet on the street”, allows us
to build superior presence of our brands in the
relevant market channels.
Our passion for building brands extends to
how they're best served and we're currently
rolling out a £3.5 million educational
programme promoting mixed drinks
excellence to bars across the country. This is
all part of our Mixxit initiative which aims to
inspire both the trade and consumers to make
perfect mixed drinks and cocktails. Our team
of mixologists are up and down the country
running events and training programmes, and
generally spreading the word.
So, in summary, we believe the calibre of
our portfolio speaks volumes about our
brand-building expertise. And the success of
our brand-building expertise is down to the
calibre of the people we employ.
