Our graduate programme
We recruit graduates into Moore Stephens LLP's London and Guildford audit and tax
departments to train as chartered accountants, with additional opportunities
available throughout the UK.
As a firm we are small enough to provide a personal service, but large enough to
offer specialist expertise in all areas. This allows you to work closely with senior
staff across a range of clients to encourage you to develop a broad understanding of
our clients' businesses.
As we treat our clients as individuals, we also treat our staff as individuals. We
offer a competitive salary and pension scheme and a range of benefits available
through our flexible benefits scheme.
Ensuring our staff are continuously learning is important to us. We provide study
support to assist you to obtain your ACA qualification and also offer internal
courses to develop your personal and technical skills. Sessions range from effective
writing skills through to corporate law.
After successfully completing your training contract, we encourage you to pursue
senior management or partnership and offer secondments and further training on the
way.

Business Tax Group, London office
Graduate of History from Royal Holloway, University of London
I wanted to work in a firm where I could access managers' and partners' professional
expertise and which offered many career opportunities. Moore Stephens stood out as a
Top 20 firm which would provide me with the experience I sought.
I chose to work in tax because of the variety of tasks it can offer. My jobs range
from preparing part of a £50 million company's profit and loss sheet to speaking with
representatives of HM Revenue and Customs. Tax requires a lot of problem-solving
abilities and you are continually learning and testing your knowledge, both at work
and in exams. Each client is different and you require a different approach to their
specific situation.
From day one I have been given more responsibility than I expected which can be
daunting but is a great challenge. As I progress, I am exposed to new areas of work
and am guiding junior staff. Everyone at Moore Stephens, from trainees to partners,
is very approachable and the emphasis is on creating a pleasant working environment.
I think it's a great place to work!
