Training Programme
As a trainee you will undertake four sixmonth
seats. This will include a contentious
seat, plus experience in our transaction based
departments such as Banking, Real Estate,
Corporate etc. This may also include the
opportunity to work in one of our international
offices or with one of our clients.
You will be given as much responsibility as
you can handle, and will be working with the
law, with your team and with clients in real
business situations.
What are we looking for in a trainee?
Given the diversity of our business, we look
for people with wide-ranging skills, aptitudes
and personalities. Candidates should be able
to demonstrate good team working skills,
drive, ambition and the potential to contribute
to the growing success of the firm. We look
for applications from candidates from any
degree discipline (minimum 2:1), with a
strong academic and extra-curricular record
of achievement.
Sponsorship details
We will cover your law school tuition fees
as well as providing a maintenance grant of
£6,000 (£7000 in London)

Applications should be made via our
application form. This is available online
through our website
or can be requested by phone or e-mail. The
recruitment process consists of a first round
interview with HR and verbal reasoning
exercise. The second round interview is
with two partners and involves a case
study exercise and presentation. Closing
date for applications for training contracts
commencing in September 2012 is 31 July
2010.
