Opportunities for students
We recruit at analyst level into a range of areas
across our business, including Corporate
Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets,
Research, Infrastructure (Global Markets
Operations, Finance, Compliance and Market
Risk Management), as well as into HSBC
Amanah (our Islamic Finance division),
HSBC Private Bank and HSBC Investments.
We also run 10-week summer internship
programmes for penultimate-year students.
Generally, we are looking for people who are
confident and prepared to take on
responsibility early. We recruit candidates
from any degree background who meet our
minimum criteria of a 2.1 or above (or

details), but you should be able to
demonstrate an interest in global finance and
having responsibility early in your career.
