British Energy is a FTSE 100 company, the
UK's largest producer of electricity and the
lowest carbon emitter of the major UK
electricity generators. With a dedicated
workforce of around 6,000 skilled
professionals, we produce around one-sixth
of the nation's electricity.
We own and run eight nuclear power stations
in the UK, seven advanced gas-cooled
reactors (AGR's) and one pressurised water
reactor (PWR), which combined have a
generating capacity of approximately 9,600
megawatts. In addition we own Eggborough,
a coal-fired power station that can generate
almost 2,000 megawatts.
Our electricity is sold in a variety of ways,
including through the Company's direct
supply business, British Energy Direct. This
direct supply business deals with industrial
and commercial clients throughout the UK.
We also sell to the wholesale power market
and act as a supplier to a range of energy
supply companies.

What we look for
Qualification & Personal requirements
To be considered for entry into our Graduate
Training Scheme, all applicants are required
to have obtained or expect to obtain at least a
2:2 degree or 3rd degree with a postgraduate
qualification. Industrial placement experience
would be beneficial but not essential.
You'll have strong communication and
interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and
open to change, be a team player and an
individual who displays drive and commitment
to the achievement of business goals.
