Who we are
We're one of the largest full service
commercial law firms in the Midlands with
regional and national reach through our offices
in Nottingham, Birmingham and London.
With around 500 people, we're large enough
to attract some of the best talent in the country,
but small enough to foster a supportive and
flexible working environment. Our people are
the key to our success and we have a track
record of attracting and retaining outstanding
people. This was recognised by the Lawyer
HR Awards in 2008 and 2010 when we picked
up the Graduate Recruitment Campaign of
the Year Award.
We focus on long-term relationships that are
friendly, flexible and straightforward, both
with our people and our clients. Our modern,
progressive working environment and our
friendly and open culture mean that our
people enjoy working here so they stay. This
allows good working relationships to develop
and provides consistency for our clients. It's
a simple tactic yet one that works; a large
proportion of our client base has been with
the firm for a number of years.
What we do
We have a long established and nationwide
reputation in all areas of our commercial,
public sector, health and insurance practices
and are recognised as regional heavyweights
for corporate, property, public enquiry,
litigation and professional risk work.
Who we're looking for
We believe in being open and straightforward
and that's exactly what we're looking for,
like-minded individuals to join our team. We
welcome applications from talented law and
non-law graduates who can bring enthusiasm
and commitment to build upon our progressive
and friendly reputation.
Training
You'll start with a comprehensive induction
programme, a fast track professional skills
course and then go onto a trainee development
programme. You'll spend four periods of six
months in some of the principle areas of the
firm, gaining an overview of the practice.
You'll get great training and development, a
friendly and supportive working environment,
and real career opportunities. Our trainees are
given quality work and exposure to clients
from early on, but are supported in achieving
results and recognised for their contribution.
