Your Training Experience and Development
During your two-year training, you will
spend six months in each of four practice
areas, which will include two of our three
core practice areas, European Finance,
Project Development & Finance and Mergers
& Acquisitions. You may also have an
opportunity to spend six months in NewYork,
Abu Dhabi or Singapore in the second year of
your training contract.
We have a formal appraisal and review
process, which takes place mid-way and at
the end of each seat, although we welcome
discussion of any issues as they arise.
We encourage trainees to assume significant
responsibility for client matters early in their
careers. To prepare you for this, we provide
an extensive training programme that deals
not only with conventional legal topics, but
also with specialised skills and knowledge that
will contribute to your professional growth.
Salaries
The trainee's starting salary is £39,000, rising to £73,000 upon qualification.
In addition, discretionary annual bonuses are available to trainees.
Vacation Scheme
We run a two-week vacation scheme in the
summer for students. The goal of this scheme
is to expose each student to our core practice
areas. We will have 30 summer students on
our 2008 summer placement scheme.
