Withers is the first international law firm
dedicated to the business and personal
interests of successful people, their families,
their businesses and their advisers.
Founded in 1896, the firm soon established a
reputation for family law and landed estates
work, a reputation we still have today. The
firm's international status was enhanced in
1995, when McKenzie Mills, a boutique firm
specialising in English law for Italian clients,
joinedWithers. The firm now has the highest
number of Italian speakers of any City law
firm. In 2001, Withers merged with a niche
US private client law firm Bergman Horowitz
and Reynolds, providing the firm with its
crucial transatlantic capability.
Withers now has offices in London, Milan,
Geneva, New York, New Haven and
Greenwich (Connecticut), employing around
600 people. Of its fee earners, 40% are
conversant in more than one language.

Withers has the largest private client team in
the world, a family team with an unparalleled
reputation and expertise, and is a recognised
leader in litigation, property, employment and
commercial law.

Research UK; The British Red Cross; UK
