The LPC at Staffordshire Law School is
based at the University's Leek Road site
in Stoke on Trent, with exceptional road
and rail links and within easy striking
distance of Birmingham, Manchester and
East Midlands Airports.
We are highly regarded by the professional
bodies
The School has a well established reputation
after delivering the highest quality of
teaching for over forty years. The LPC is
rated one of the best nationally, being one of
an elite group of LPC courses to have
achieved the highest grade of “Excellent”
awarded by Law Society (now the Solicitors
Regulation Authority, or SRA) assessors
under its former grading system. Under
the more recent grading system it has
retained its exceptional standards by having
been awarded the highest grades of
“Commendable Practice” by the SRA for all
six areas which are assessed. The Quality
Assurance Agency (QAA), which regulates
standards of university provision, has also
awarded the Law School the top ratings for
all areas.
We offer a friendly and supportive
environment
The School provides a vibrant, supportive
and friendly learning environment where
each student is treated as an individual and
where their specific needs can be met.
Students are taught in modern purpose-built
facilities with a range of “Practice Offices”
for LPC students, designed to simulate the
law firm environment. Surrounded by the
sports pitches for the University, the facilities
have a semi-rural feel whilst still being close
to lively city life.
We offer full-time and part-time modes
of delivery
In recognition of modern-day lifestyles, we
have developed two part-time modes of
delivery: one during the evening, running on
Tuesday and Thursday evenings for two
years; the other held during the day on one
day a week, also for two years.
