Why did you apply for a job with Enterprise?
I was attracted by the graduate programme -
and after doing some research, I was surprised
by the growth of the company. The promotion
from within was appealing, and I was
interested in learning all aspects of running a
business.
What are the advantages of working for a
large graduate employer?
I've had the benefit of experiencing a tried
and tested programme that's produced loads
of successful people. In addition, working for
a large employer has provided me with many
career options that I may not have had with a
smaller company.
How have you progressed within the company
since you started at Enterprise?
When I started in a rental branch in Redhill in
1999, I never imagined that I would be doing
the role that I do today. I've always worked
in sales and customer service at Enterprise –
starting first in a branch and then working to
a corporate sales manager in the London area.
From there, I moved to our national sales
team. Along the way, I have taken some time
out of work to have two children.
Describe your current role?
I work in our UK national sales team as an
implementation manager. My job is to ensure
that we successfully transition new corporate
and insurance business to our rental branches.
I work with all departments at Enterprise to
ensure that we have created the right fit for
our customer and for Enterprise – including
our rental operations, contact centre, finance
department, customer service and many
others.
What aspects of your job do you enjoy?
The role is varied – no two days are the same.
And I'm always busy - I couldn't imagine
a role where I sat at my desk and wondered
what to do next. It's very people oriented, as
most roles at Enterprise are. We work closely
as a team and we are always there to help
one another out. On top of that, we spend a
lot of time out of work together socializing,
which I think is a bonus. That's something
that my friends at other companies don't get
to experience.
What do you hope to achieve over the course
of your career?
I'd like to continue working on the national
sales team, focus on my goals and continue
to move up the ladder. Due to Enterprise's
growth both in the UK and worldwide, there
isn't anything standing in my way to progress.
What's better than that?
