Corporate culture

To ensure we build on our remarkable success, we are looking for exceptional graduates for the following roles: Global Banking & Markets; trading, sales, origination, research, finance, operations, risk, lending, technology, asset and portfolio management, sector corporate finance, relationship management for corporates and financial institutions. UK Corporate Banking; relationship management and product management. You will already possess a good academic record and be expecting at least at 2.1 degree (or international equivalent). Just as importantly, you will be numerate, creative and passionate as well as resourceful and enthusiastic. You will also have excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Language skills and previous work experience would also be highly desirable.

Training and development

We recognise the importance of developing, motivating and retaining our people and this is clearly reflected in our 12 month global graduate training programme. The initial training consists of three weeks' intensive classroom learning, covering an introduction to the financial and capital markets and our distinctive proposition within them. You will then complete further courses specifically designed to meet your development needs and complement your chosen business area, including professional qualifications where appropriate. Our programme also includes personal development and networking sessions, supported through mentor and buddy initiatives. Your buddy will help you find your feet in the first few months, while your mentor – a more senior member of the business – will coach and support you throughout.
