We're aiming to create a workforce which
reflects the full diversity of Britain, so we
only take into consideration your attitude,
capabilities, talent and willingness to learn
when selecting people to join our Graduate
Programme. We are looking for people who
are independent thinkers and team players,
who are change-focused and have strong
analytical thinking and problem-solving
skills.
There's a real culture of respect and
responsibility in HMRC and a large emphasis
on welfare and training, so you really feel
looked after. There are also opportunities
to gain widely recognised qualifications on
all three of our programmes: Accountancy,
Management Fast Track and Tax Professional
Development. You'll be given time to study
during the working week and throughout,
you'll have the support of a manager, mentor
and dedicated coaches who'll assess your
development and fine tune your training.
You could have two and a half days per week
for study covering both formal and private
study time. The training will typically take
fours years to complete; by then you will
be equipped to work effectively on one of a
range of roles within HMRC.
