About Us

Our aim at Oliver Wyman is simple: To redefine what it means to be a leading management consulting firm. We combine deep industry knowledge with specialised expertise in strategy, operations, risk management, organisational transformation, and leadership development. We are the fastest growing consulting firm in the top 10. Today, we employ more than 2500 staff across 40 offices in 16 countries throughout the world. We work alongside our clients to develop practical solutions that deliver real impact.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking candidates who are inquisitive, motivated, and have strong analytical and quantitative skills. Clarity of thought and expression are fundamental. Fluency in a second language is highly desirable (but not essential) and an interest in international travel is a must, as our international staffing model will take you to many exciting locations around the world.

What We Offer

Oliver Wyman is specifically structured to attract, retain and offer superior rewards to outstanding people. We are distinguished among our peers in focusing on your longterm career development, and our rapid growth creates unparalleled career opportunities.

Entry-level consultants can apply to either, or both, of our distinctive career tracks:

General Management Consulting (GMC)

Consultants on this track work on important strategic issues across a broad range of industries such as retail, consumer products, leisure, aviation, communications, technology and media, energy, manufacturing, automotive, and transportation. The General Management Consulting track provides an opportunity to develop a broad skill set across a range of industries, with sector specialisation at your own pace.

Financial Services Consulting (FSC)

Consultants on this track join the firm's Financial Services practice from day one, working on important strategic issues for clients in the financial services sector, including retail banking, investment banking, trading, insurance, asset management, health & life sciences and risk. The focus on financial services clients from the start means consultants on the Financial Services Consulting track become content experts early in their careers, which affords rapid advancement.

Regardless of the track you join, you will find yourself in a pure meritocracy. Strong performers are promoted quickly and compensated exceptionally. Supporting your professional development, you will find opportunities for learning (whether through formal and informal training or hands-on experience) that are as vast as your appetite to seek them out. We also provide a springboard for further study and opportunity should you wish: our alumni have a strong track record of getting into the best business schools and other post-graduate programmes, and occupy many high profile positions in industry, private equity and non-profits.

What We Believe In

While our work is high impact and high stakes, the atmosphere at Oliver Wyman is noticeably friendly and collegial. We focus on output, not input, and fundamentally reject the culture of long hours for long hours' sake. Rather we offer the opportunity to pursue a realistic work-life balance, including innovative programs such as our non-profit fellowship and our 10 month year.

Our commitment is to provide extraordinary opportunities for rapid professional and personal growth. At that point, it's over to you. Get there faster. Start here.
