Who we are
We're one of the largest full service
commercial law firms in the Midlands with
regional and national reach through our
offices in Nottingham, Birmingham and
London, and we're growing fast. One of the
most successful firms in the Midlands, we
have more than trebled our turnover since
1996 and continue to drive double-digit
annual growth.
Our people are the key to our success and
we have a track record of attracting and
retaining outstanding people. With over 500
people, we're large enough to attract some of
the best talent in the country, but small
enough to foster a supportive and flexible
working environment.
We focus on long-term relationships that are
friendly, flexible and straightforward, both
with our people and our clients. Our modern,
progressive working environment and our
friendly and open culture mean that our
people enjoy working here so they stay. This
allows good working relationships to develop
and provides consistency for our clients. It's
a simple tactic yet one that works; a large
proportion of our client base has been with
the firm for a number of years.
What we do
We specialise in corporate and commercial
work and have a national reputation for our
work in health, retail and environmental
sectors and are recognised as regional
heavyweights for corporate, property, public
enquiry, litigation and professional risk work.
Who we're looking for
We believe in being open, straightforward
and easy to deal with, and that's exactly what
we're looking for, like-minded individuals to
join our team. We welcome talented law and
non-law graduates who can bring enthusiasm,
commitment and a flexible and friendly
attitude to our firm.
What you'll do
You'll start with a comprehensive induction
programme and a fast track professional
skills course. Our flexible approach gives
trainees the opportunity to do six month seats
in any of our three offices; all based in
vibrant city centres. That not only offers
variety, but a great social life too!
You'll get great training, a friendly and
supportive working environment and real
career opportunities. Our trainees are given
quality work and exposure to clients from
early on, but are supported in achieving
results and recognised for their contribution.
When and how to apply
Our application deadline is 31st July two
years before the training contract is due to
commence. Apply online at

for open days in the same year.
Sponsorship
We sponsor our trainees through their LPC/
PGDL, paying tuition fees and providing a
