There are professional bodies in the UK serving almost every sector. These bodies have a range of functions and responsibilities to the sectors, from overseeing professional qualifications, to advising and consulting on new legislation with the government. Within these bodies are similar departments to organisations in other sectors, some of which offer career paths for new graduates in their own right.
