This first post is just going to be a quick introduction to who I am and what I will be posting in this here blog. My name is Will but some call me the Blog Father* and I am 21 years old. (a) Try and pick a career.
(b) Consider further education.
(c) Find a job for the short term so I can afford food and shelter.
(d) Try to do relevant work experience and/or voluntary work.

And so I am going to record my experiences and thoughts which some might find helpful. I imagine it will probably be more helpful as aguide of 'what not to do'.

At this moment in time one bit of advice I can give people who are looking for employment is to not waste time. For example after graduation it is not advisable to play Xbox 360 for 3 months solid because being able get 40 kills on Call of Duty is not a transferable skill nor is winning three Serie A titles in a row on Football Manager. My point is that it is vital to use your free time well and to look to increase your profile by gaining relevant skills through work experience or volunteer work.

That’s all for now folks

Will
